My 3850 is for sale

I've been away for a while. I've  been busy teaching and playing . I'm letting go of  my Getzen 3850 to make room for a new horn that I will be talking about on this blog some time in the future. It is up on ebay with three days left. This is a cornet whos history is not doubt.. The serial # is  G400048. This instrument is in excellent mechanical condition and has silky smooth valves. There are  no dents or dings but  it does have areas where the lacquer is worn However, the horn still looks very good. The areas where the lacquer is worn are: 1)  the pinky ring 2) third valve assembly on the silver plating 3) On the bell about 2 inches above the Gezten  engraving. 3) first valve assembly  on the silver plating. 4)  on the bell next to the first valve assembly 5) on the bell where it connects to the first valve assembly 6) on the third valve slide. 7) on the valve stems 8) on the last bend of the shepherds crook. The listing is Getzen 3850 Professional Cornet   All the slides work and the valves are typical Getzen. Here are some pics of the horn
